Terms & Conditions

Last updated: August 2026

These terms apply to any booking made with Kerbside (ABN 92 311 509 104), operated by a CPV-accredited driver based in Lyndhurst, Victoria. By booking a transfer, you agree to these terms.

Bookings

Bookings are requested via the website form, text message, or phone, and are only confirmed once you receive a direct confirmation from Kerbside. A submitted request is not a confirmed booking until acknowledged.

Pricing & payment

Prices are fixed and confirmed at the time of booking based on pickup/drop-off location. Payment is collected by card prior to travel via a secure payment link. Prices shown include GST where applicable. Tax invoices are available on request for business travel.

Launch offer

A $10 launch discount currently applies to all fares for a limited time, at Kerbside's discretion, and may be withdrawn or changed at any time without notice. It cannot be combined with any other offer.

Short-notice bookings

Bookings made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time may incur an additional $10 short-notice fee, reflecting the reduced ability to plan around other commitments.

Public holidays

On Victorian public holidays a published 10% rate applies. That is the only time the price changes. There is no event pricing: major events such as the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, the Australian Open, Cox Plate, Derby Day and Oaks Day are charged at the normal published price. Melbourne Cup Day attracts the 10% rate only because it is a Victorian public holiday.

The 10% rate is applied to the full fare first, and the launch discount is then deducted. It does not stack with the short-notice fee: if both would apply, only the higher of the two is charged, never both. The rate is shown on your quote before you book.

Cancellations

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time are free of charge and fully refunded. Cancellations inside 24 hours may be charged in full at Kerbside's discretion, particularly where a replacement booking could not reasonably be arranged in that time. For multi-day private hire bookings (2 or more consecutive days), cancellations made 7 or more days before the booking start date are free of charge with a full refund. Cancellations inside 7 days forfeit the deposit paid; no further charge applies to the remaining balance.

Delays & waiting time

For airport pickups, flights are tracked and 30 minutes of waiting time from landing is included free of charge. Extended delays will be accommodated on a reasonable-efforts basis; please contact Kerbside directly if your circumstances change.

Private hire (hourly, half-day, full-day, multi-day)

Hourly private hire carries a 2 hour minimum booking. Half-day (4 hours) and full-day (8 hours) rates are fixed for that duration. Time beyond a booked period ("overtime") is charged at the applicable hourly rate in 30-minute increments and will be confirmed with you as it occurs. Multi-day private hire (2 or more consecutive days) is secured with a 20% deposit at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due no later than 2 weeks before the booking start date. Kerbside reserves the right to treat a booking as cancelled if the balance is not received by the due date.

Corporate accounts

Businesses booking regularly are charged the corporate rate of $60 per hour for private hire. No account, minimum commitment or contract is required. Airport transfers booked by businesses are charged at the published zone price.

Luggage & vehicle capacity

Each vehicle can accommodate up to 4 passengers and standard luggage within the stated boot capacity; group bookings of more than 4 passengers may be split across two vehicles by arrangement. Please advise of unusual luggage requirements (oversized items, additional passengers) at the time of booking. A car seat is not currently provided — please bring your own if required. For bookings of more than 4 passengers, a second CPV-accredited driver and vehicle may be used to complete the booking alongside the primary vehicle.

Liability

Kerbside carries appropriate insurance for the operation of the vehicle as a commercial passenger service. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy available to you under the Australian Consumer Law, including the guarantee that services will be provided with due care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, Kerbside's liability for any other loss is limited to the value of the fare paid.

Conduct

Kerbside reserves the right to decline or end a trip in cases of unsafe, abusive, or unlawful passenger conduct, without refund.
